A superb and rare photo, made from what we believe is the original negative, of The brothers Osmont and Auguste Fossier are seen in battle during the famous “Coupe Hydra” boardtrack race of 1905. This race was ridden on March 10, 1905 and it was the last time it was held on the “Velodrome Parc des Princes” in Paris . The French Hydra company manufactured electrical components for motorcycles and cars. In the beginning of the 20 th century, trikes were as popular as motorcycles. The first motorized races in Europe actually took place with these type of machines. Both brothers are seen riding a DeDion-Bouton 250cc “Tricycle” .
